The excitement started the moment we arrived at the school; little faces lit up, and the children came running with the biggest smiles and warmest hugs. She proudly showed us the progress the children have made academically and shared beautiful stories of how staying in school has changed their lives and given their families new hope. There was laughter, storytelling, and that deep sense of community that reminds us why we do this work.
